Responsibilities

Tasks:

  • Supervise workers and projects
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities
  • Train or arrange for training
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
  • Remove asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality

Supervision:

  • 1 to 2 people
  • 3-4 people

Job-site training and certification requirements:

  • The successful applicant will be required to complete and/or maintain job-site safety training and certifications as required by the employer, clients, and applicable work sites.
  • This may include, but is not limited to:
    • Intermediate First Aid certification; and
    • Validated Occupational Health and Safety Certificate for asbestos workers.
  • These items are required for access to certain job sites and for compliance with health and safety requirements.
